The part of you that's been waiting to be expressed 🎧

Hi Reader,

I've been thinking a lot about what it feels like to be truly held.

Not just listened to. Not just supported. But held — all the messy, contradictory, unfinished parts of you — by someone who isn't afraid of any of it.

I've had moments in my life where I've walked into a room with a healer, a coach, a therapist, and felt myself instinctively making myself smaller. Editing the version I showed them. Keeping the stranger or darker or more confusing parts tucked safely away, because I wasn't sure they could handle it — or that I could, if they reflected it back.

And then there are the rare people who make you feel like you can bring everything. Who have been so deep into their own underworld that nothing you carry could possibly scare them.

Dr. Liz Letchford is one of those people.

Liz is a rehabilitation scientist, founder of Body Church, and — as she says herself — something of a body whisperer. She started her career in sports medicine, studying why bodies break down. What she found, over years of clinical practice, was that the real question was never the injury itself. It was what the body was trying to express that it had never been given permission to.

In this week's episode, we talk about archetypes — the different versions of ourselves that live within us, and how we can weave in and out of them across a lifetime.

What happens when one of those parts gets starved? When you've spent years being the capable one, the quiet one, the responsible one — and the part of you that wants to roar hasn't been given a single inch of space?

Liz's answer is unlike anything I've encountered before. It's somatic and spiritual, scientific and wildly creative. It's also one of the most freeing conversations I've ever had.

I'd love to know: is there an archetype within you that's been waiting to be expressed? Hit reply and tell me — I genuinely want to know.

With love,

Amanda

P.S. I've decided to run a Shamanic Journey
