Hi Reader, Guess what? Today's my birthday! And it's not just any birthday... it's the big 4-0! I can hardly believe it myself. 40 years. And as I look back over the last FOUR (you read that right) decades I can't help but smile at the woman I've become, and every other version of her that's come before. I see the 4 year old who only wanted to be a cat when she grew up. And the 15 year old who was worried about getting straight A's. I see the 18 year old so scared of leaving her home and her pets to travel across the country for college. And the 22 year old who was too nervous to move to the Big Apple to start living a truly adult life, and who instead decided to commute to the city for months before she knew what move she had to make. I see the 24 year old who moved to Paraguay to finally fulfill her dream of saving wild cats, and the 25 year old who said "YES" to the job in Berlin. I see the 30 year old who finished her MBA feeling more burned out, but determined, than ever before. And the 33 year old who finally allowed herself to surrender to the universe, in ways she had never understood before, and be moved to chart a new path. I see the 36 year old that married her best friend and said "yes" once again - this time to a new adventure in London. And the 39 year old who finally started stepping into her power. I see every version of myself as she grew from a shy but mighty young girl with only animals in her heart, to a wise, mature business owner and healer who is still finding her footing on her path. And I love her so dearly. For every single dream she has dared to dream. For every brave choice she's made. For every heartbreak and struggle she's fought her way through. And for every time she (still) cracks her heart open and allows love and light to guide her path forward. Today, I am celebrating the woman I have become, and the one who is not yet fully here. And ask you to do the same - for you. I'll be offline for the next couple of weeks, fully immersing in my birthday glory. But don't worry - you'll still have plenty to support you in my absence!
